While the latter are ferocious fighters, they have proven to be only moderately compitent at star ship design. Our first experience with this vessel was in 2250, and they were commanded by Romulans. An alliance between the Klingon and Romulan Star Empires continued for many years, until power struggles eventually made them enemies. The Klingons began to build larger and more powerfull variants, incorporating many aspects of the D7's basic design parameters. In 2271, we were in- Iroduced to the K 't' INGA Class version of this formidable starship.
